Q: URL Transcription Question
For URL-based transcriptions (such as a YouTube link), does the video need to have closed captions or transcription enabled on YouTube for UniScribe to generate a transcript? I ask because not all YouTubers enable this feature, and I am wondering if that would affect UniScribe’s ability to transcribe the video.

May 30, 2025A: Great question! UniScribe doesn’t rely on YouTube’s own captions. We transcribe the video directly from the audio, so it works even if the original video has no subtitles.
