Q: Thanks for coming to AppSumo!

Upbase is definitely the pm tool I have wanted forever. Truly, embedding docs in the projects, having the links tab, it is just epic. I know you are developing rapidly and so happy to be along for the ride.

There is one thing that is making me so frustrated though and I am wondering if there is an ETA on it: Why can't we collapse columns in the kanban board? For those projects where the board acts as a pipeline view, often specific columns are empty or hold cards that we don't need to actively look at (someday / blocked are good examples)

Every other PM tool with boards I have used allows, with a click, the ability to collapse columns and re-open them, allowing for a compact view of what matters on the board.

Is this basic, critical, UX/UI functionality on the way? If so, eta?

(*It might seem minor compared to other things on the roadmap like task dependency, etc. but sometimes the most basic UX features matter so much more than features.)

Thanks for making such a thoughtful and cool pm tool that really solves a pain point!

A: Thank you for the valuable feedback! I really appreciate it. The feature you mentioned is small and easy to implement, and we can have it ready within a few days. However, before proceeding, we'd like to gauge the demand for it.

@Jack.S Thanks for the Canny post.

If this post receives a decent number of upvotes, we will absolutely prioritize its implementation.

I appreciate your patience and understanding.

Cheers,

It remains to vote and get votes

I remember that in one tool I used it. Even though it seems like an unnecessary addition, I appreciated it while using it. Sometimes it happens that we have a longer path and it does not fit on the screen. Narrowing the perspective allows you to work comfortably.
