Keeps getting better and better
I purchased an AppSumo license of Upbase in January 2023, and at first I was underwhelmed with the software, however, they continue to add new features that make it much better than some of the other project management tools on the market. They have added tasks duplication which if you do a lot of the same types of projects over and over, you don't have to create tasks from scratch each time. They recently added Google Calendar integration, which I have been using & learning how to get the most out of it, but it really made the product something I will use every day. I have been using a product for daily task management called Sunsama, and Upbase it almost at a place where I could replace that expense (need to add an email inbox where you can drag emails into your calendar as a task).
Some features I love:
1. Links - the ability to add links to your projects
2. Google Docs/Sheets/Preso - Ability to link your google workspace docs to a project
3. Folders + Docs - I use this to keep track of notes when working with clients and kind of like a wiki
4. Google calendar integration - The ability to add tasks onto your calendar (need to assign them to yourself for them to show up), see daily, weekly, and monthly views and sync tasks to your Google calendar.
5. Upcase Support - Anytime I reported a bug, asked about a feature, or had an issue, they have been very responsible. So when people say "not customer support", I honestly don't know what they are saying as Tony and the team have ALWAYS responded within 24 hours.
The only things missing that I think would make Upbase even better are the ability to create project templates (similar to Asana) and some basic automation features, such as "when tasks is completed, notify via project owner email". Additionally, some basic reporting and dashboards, such as tasks burn down, an Ai time tracking ability (vs. manual time tracking)
