Great product
I have been searching for a good lifetime pdf product for around a year and here it is. I read a lot of papers in my computer, and this product is giving me a great experience. The design is slick, I really like it. Arranging pages is a breeze. You can also edit content within the pdf documents, including images, which is impressive. I have not used other features, and I probably never will. This product has allowed me to drop my Adobe subscription (hopefully) forever.
There are a few things that would need to be added in order to put UPDF at the level of Adobe though. A few suggestions from my end:
(1) in the iOS version, UPDF needs a reader mode just as Adobe’s. When I use the UPDF app, in order to read a document, I need to zoom in, then scroll left and right, continuously. Not a very good experience. This was also the case with Adobe app, that’s why they released their reader mode, which I like very much. I suggest you do the same.
(2) This one is not on you (although I’m sure the UPDF team would know better): When I want to open a PDF file on my iPhone using the app, UPDF is never listed as a default option to open those files. I need to manually search for UPDF which takes some extra seconds. Only Adobe is listed as a default option. I would like to make UPDF my default PDF file app. You should help us achieve this goal. Every time we want am to open a PDF, this is done with UPDF.
(3) the UPDF app should integrate with Dropbox. Perhaps there are other integrations you should enable.
(4) and the last one: you don’t have a cloud version yet, but it would be great if do.
I’m a Windows and iOS user.
Overall, solid product. I hope the founders continue improving the software. Do they have a roadmap btw?

May 9, 2024Hello manoelsan,
Thanks for your feedback.
Here are my replies to your points:
1) In March, we will improve the iOS app. You will have reading mode as Adobe's and scroll left and right. Also, you will have more powerful annotating tools.
2) Actually iOS cannot set the default app for PDF opener. iPhone would recommend apps for your needs. We cannot control UPDF appearing as the first app icon appears on the top of the pop-up window. However, we will try to make UPDF appear in the list below the icons.
3) We will have our own cloud storage(we name it Ucloud) in March on Windows and Mac versions. iOS version would need more time to integrate Ucloud.
4) You said the cloud version of UPDF. Do you mean using UPDF on the web browser? Now we can only open PDF on our web version(cannot do anything else) You can try this feature by using Sharing PDF via a link on your Windows. Then you will be able to open PDF on our web version. We're working on it to add more features. However, it needs time. Hopefully, we will have it this year :)
