Q: What is the benefit of this tool over Matomo or Google Analytics?

Jun 11, 2024A: Never used it, but I just played with their demo, I think here's where Visitor Tracking has some benefits over it:
- Visitors Log: You can see a lot more in one view with Visitor Tracking and allows you much more visibility into what each visitor is doing without needing to scroll a bunch or click around a bunch of times
- Simplified everything: One thing I noticed in Matomo is there is a lot of clutter and SO many options to choose from within the app. It's overwhelming and it makes it hard to look at and want to use. At Visitor Tracking, we actively tried to make less pages, but make each view way more valuable so you don't need to click around a bunch
- Less need for manual report creation: In a lot of the views in Visitor Tracking, you automatically see how many visits/conversions/etc are happening in different time periods (last 24h, 7d, 30d, 90d) and you automatically see trends on whether that has improved or not. I didn't see this much in Matomo and I personally hate having to manually create reports all the time, so for me this is a huge thing they're missing.
- Appealing design: If you're going to open up something every day as a way to peer into your business, don't you want to enjoy looking at it? This Matomo app is not pleasing to the eye at all
I'll admit, they've been around longer so they have some features we're missing but it's a lot of stuff I wouldn't really use anyways, but that is just me. Feel free to try Visitor Tracking and come to your own conclusions
Best,
Curran
