Q: Considering Purchasing - but White Label and Branding Issues is BIG Problem
Hi, I’ve been considering purchasing your product. I understand that Webability.io helps with some WCAG 2.1 AA user-facing requirements, which makes it a great starting point. However, full ADA/AODA compliance would still need a developer to review code and content, especially where legal risk is a concern.
That said, my main issue is the branding shown on customer websites. For a paid product, especially one sold via a lifetime licence, “powered by…” branding feels unnecessary and off-putting. Many potential appsumo customers feel the same.
Lastly, I’m not an agency and don’t need 50 sites, so it’s frustrating that white-labeling "may" get locked behind Tier 5. It feels more like a forced upsell than a fair feature tier.
Just my honest feedback. I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

You’re absolutely right that full ADA/AODA compliance often requires a developer’s review, especially for more complex code. That’s why we’ve designed WebAbility.io with an AI-powered accessibility checker that provides actionable guidance for fixing code issues, addressing many of the most common WCAG 2.1 AA requirements. While it doesn’t replace a developer, it simplifies the process significantly, helping you tackle issues without diving deep into code.
Regarding the branding issue, we understand your concern. The “powered by…” branding is currently part of the product, but we’re actively working on a white-label option for future releases. We hope to offer more flexibility with this soon. As for the Tier 5 restriction, we’re definitely listening to feedback and revisiting the feature offerings — the goal is to make the product fair and accessible for all users.
Thanks again for sharing your perspective. We’re always looking to improve, and your input is invaluable! If you have any other questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to us at support@webability.io.

if you look at the most recent review by one of your customers, that should tell you that this brand/white-label issue is effecting sales and peoples opinion on the product. You potentially have a good product, don't destroy peoples opinion of it over forced brand promotion. I would today buy if it were not for the white-label issues.
Thank you for the honest feedback - we hear you loud and clear. We're already working on rolling out the ability to remove the logo, and that option will be available very soon. We truly appreciate your support and patience as we make the product better for everyone
Hi Sye,
Thanks again for your feedback!
Great news — white-labeling is now live and available across all users. You can now remove or customize the WebAbility logo from your dashboard.
