Wow Adam... really nice answer... FYI I never forgot the password; in fact, I have been using a password manager for years. There was an email change in my Webstarts account, which I did not do. Obviously, when I clicked on "I forgot my password," nothing arrived at my email. When I contacted support repeatedly, I received no response.
I think your public response to my situation makes it very clear to the rest of sumolings whether or not it is worth investing their money in your software.

I bought Webstarts years ago when they were on Appsumo for the first time. It's a simple web editor, but it met the needs of a small client we had at the agency.
One day, I completely lost access to WebStarts. I think someone stole my account. I tried to contact support, but I didn't get a response. I had to rebuild these clients' sites on Wix, wasting time and money, in addition to having to explain to the clients why we could no longer use their website.
I never thought of WebStarts again until now that I see they have returned to Appsumo.
The investment was small and the software itself worked well. But the lack of support to recover my account was an absolute disappointment.

Edited Jul 14, 2025It's true, WebStarts is better if you are the type of person who can use the forgot password link. For security purposes passwords are encrypted and not able to be accessed by support agents. This is industry standard.
When you sign up the email address is the username and cannot be changed. Maybe "I think someone stole my account" was more likely that you mis-keyed your email address. If anyone is curious about our support they can of course email us before they make a purchase.
