Q: What is the evolution of your project/product.

Hi,
I would be interested in your product but I have many doubts about the project itself.
In 8 months you have only published one video, your roadmap is very poor, you do not talk about automation, integrations, AI, multilingual translations of the interface, it is as if the present and the future do not belong to you.
From the information reported here you are a company with 11-50 employees.
What can you say about your business situation, your future projects and the future of your application?
Thank you

A: Hi,

Thank you very much for your interest and for raising these important questions — I completely understand your concerns, and I appreciate the opportunity to clarify.

You’re right that we have not released frequent updates to our cloud solution yet. Let me explain the reason behind it. Early on, as we began incorporating user feedback, we faced a significant technical limitation: our frontend was built with Angular, and it made iterating and customizing the platform slow and cumbersome. To future-proof Worklenz and deliver a much better experience, we made a major decision to completely rebuild the frontend using React.

This transition turned out to be a much bigger investment in time, money, and effort than initially expected. However, it was absolutely the right move — React has allowed us to move faster, build new features much more efficiently, and expand the team more easily, given the wider talent pool compared to Angular.

I’m happy to share that just last week, we released Worklenz 2.0 as an open-source version, packed with many of the features our users had requested. You can explore it here - https://github.com/Worklenz/worklenz. We also have a 95% complete mobile app, which we will be releasing soon.
You can find our tutorial and introduction videos on our official YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/@WorklenzHQ/videos

As for your points about automation, integrations, AI, and multilingual support:
These are very much part of our future vision. In fact, AI features are already in internal testing. However, right now, our first priority is addressing the immediate feature requests from our existing users, which you can see and track here: https://worklenz.canny.io/public
Our philosophy is not to become a clone of other tools — we want Worklenz to evolve uniquely based on our users’ real needs.

Regarding the business itself:
Yes, we are a company of 11–50 employees based in Sri Lanka, operating under ISO 9001 certification. We are a bootstrapped, profitable product company that has been building software solutions for global clients for over 13 years. Worklenz is a long-term strategic project for us — it has been in development internally for more than a year before it was first launched publicly. We are fully committed to its continuous growth and innovation.

If you’d like more detailed information about our roadmap, team, or technology, I would be more than happy to provide it. Thanks again for considering Worklenz!
