Q: Does the user have to have business docs to use Creem, or can a person use it as a "freelancer" ?

Can Individuals without business registration but with a bank account use creem?

What payment processor that you use for India? Can the users be able to make payments with UPI or only with Credit cards?

Your Creem’s Account Review Process link is not working. It just goes to the site https://accountreview.com and that site is not working.

What documents are needed for the account review process if I am a freelancer?

Want to buy but since this is not refundable, I need to consider all this. After buying if you reject, money is lost. Why not have the option to refund the amount if you reject a user?

Looks like a great product to sell worldwide without any worries.

With Tier 3, we can use creem to sell from multiple online stores, right?

Thanks.

A: Hi, thanks for the questions!

1 - Yes, we are able to support both business and individuals
2 - We currently use Stripe as our main provider in India, unfortunately we don't support UPI payments, and for transparency I must say that most likely we will not look to integrate UPI on the short term.
3 - Thank you for the heads up! Already communicated with the AppSumo team for changing the link,...

Q: Quick questions

Hello, I got some quick questions. Thinking about moving some of my micro/niche SaaS to your payment (mor) handling.

1. What are your fees for refunding and for chargebacks?
2. Is a refund rate between 8-12% okay for your service if no chargebacks happen?
3. I'm planning to build a SaaS around public but scraped together data. Would this be acceptable? Something like https://gumtrends.com/ but for a different platform.
4. You currently only and mostly support card payments, or? So no PayPal, Klarna, SEPA or other Payment Services? Any plans on integrating more than card payments? Especially PayPal, Klarna and SEPA? They're highly used in the eurozone.

Thank you!

A: Hey thanks for the questions!

1 & 2- We charge $25 for any chargebacks - We charge the normal processing fees for refunds, no added fees on that
2 - An elevated refund rate is okay, as long as chargebacks are not elevated.
3 - That would be ok as long as you are not infringing any intellectual property or rights
4 - Right now, we support a wide range of payment methods, including:

Q: Is Creem GDPR compliant?

Since your headquarters are located in Estonia, I assume that there is an obligation for GDPR compliance. However, it is not mentioned under features. Could you please comment on this? Thank you! :)

A: Hi thanks for the question!

We are currently not claiming GDPR compliance, but our data never leaves EU.
With that said, we need a couple adjustments before we are able to be GDPR compliant, such as cookie consent popups.

We are not currently focusing on that due to the stage we are, but certainly something we will look for still in 2025!

Q: Value over Stripe

Hello, I'm currently looking for an alternative to stripe, since I'm currently building several niche Saas and I would need a solution for my community platform, job platform and so on.. Stripe is my way to go now, but I'm looking for convenient alternatives.
Anyway from where I live (Europe country) as far as I can see Stripe fees are somehow more convenient (2.9% + $0.30. Plus 1.5% for international cards and/or 1% for currency conversion) is there something I'm missing? I really like your product, but as I perceive it, Stripe still is more convenient on processing fees.

A: Hey, great question! 🌟😊

I totally get where you’re coming from—it’s important to understand how we differ from Stripe. While a lot of people like to compare us to Stripe because of our payment processing capabilities, it’s essential to note that Stripe is not a Merchant of Record (MoR).

That’s why you won’t find a direct comparison between us and Stripe on our pricing page (you can check it...

Q: Is this MoR model relatively new?

Hi again - this truly sounds like such a wonderful product you're working on!

But I do need a bit more help, though, and I believe this might be a common question for you in the future!

I have read everything on the links you provided in the question sections (documentation, etc.), but beyond that, I'm struggling to find any state authority addressing MoR in Denmark. I'm very interested in your solution but need to ensure it is explicitly legal in Denmark before committing to a non-refundable purchase 💫

A: Hi!

The MoR model is not new, but it is now popularizing due to the sheer amount of new builders due to AI tools and access to information :)

You can find several competitors on google, many of them go back to 2010 or earlier!

Stripe has also acquired Lemon Squeezy recently, a competitor that is shown in our pricing page comparison.
