Customers are all about Deftform, praising its clean and intuitive interface, AI-powered form generation, and customizable domain settings. There are a few hiccups like limited design customization and the absence of multi-step forms, just small bumps on the road. Weighing the raves against the occasional grumbles, Deftform is hitting the mark and is a solid buy for those in need of a reliable form builder. Plus, with a Lifetime deal offered through AppSumo, it's definitely worth a try!

Deftform is the chef's kiss, the best form builder I've used (and I've used a lot)
You know that feeling when you've downloaded your 17th form tool and immediately regret it?
Yeah, been there. I've burned through Typeform, Jotform, Paperform, and countless others I'd rather forget. They all start promising but quickly devolve into feature bloat and pricing that made me question my life choices.
Then I stumbled on Deftform last month.
I was honestly ready to be disappointed again, but this thing just works. The interface is ridiculously clean - like suspiciously clean. My first client intake form took maybe 4 minutes to build? And when my assistant (who still prints emails) saw it, she just went "That's it? Where's all the complicated stuff?" Exactly.
Why I'm not going back:
- The drag-and-drop feels natural - no fighting the UI or waiting for things to load.
- I can use my own domain and branding without some enterprise plan.
- They don't pull that "50 responses then pay up" nonsense.
The AI suggestion feature caught me off guard too. I was skeptical but it actually saved me time building my customer feedback form. My assistant swears it's "reading our minds" and now refuses to use it after dark. Her loss.
Look, I've been burned by too many tools that felt designed by people who've never actually needed to make a form. This one feels different. It's been my go-to for almost 3 months now, which might be my personal record.
Try it. Your sanity will thank you.

Great Form Builder
I just bought the Tool and (almost) all is working as expected.
What I would like to have is a reply-to email address for the Admin notification where it is possible to enter the email from the form. In this case I could simply answer the Admin notification email. Also sending an automatic answer to the submitter would but nice.

Mar 28, 2025Hi there,
Thanks for your nice words and the 5 tacos. :)
If your form has an email field (https://help.deftform.com/faq/how-to-send-confirmation-emails-to-submitters), the "Reply-to" will be the email address that was entered by the respondent. You will have to add at least one "Admin" email address (https://help.deftform.com/faq/how-to-receive-email-notifications-as-an-admin) before that, so...

A great find and a promising product
Hi !
I spent a few hours exploring it, and it really stands out from its competitors thanks to its simplicity and versatility.
I'm especially happy to be able to customize a whole bunch of interface texts, as that's often a key factor in convincing me and turning me into a customer (French, in my case).
I'm hoping multi-page forms will be available soon.
The only downside for me right now is the lack of a module that lets a form recipient choose a date and time for an appointment (with that, I'd be totally sold).
5 tacos for the quality of the product !
Edit : Actually, there's a datepicker module that even includes the option to add time. I hadn't noticed it during my first test. So I encourage you to go for it. This product is absolutely worth it for the price. Plus, the tech support is always super friendly and very responsive 🔥👍

Solid software
The interface is not quite on par with tally (a forms product I am familiar with), but it has a lot of the same functionality for a great deal. I haven't used it extensively, but it seems to be a solid product.
