I like Greta a lot! I find it 'Greta' (anagram of Great)

People will have different ways of working with it.

I got the 3000 credits a month, and I've prototyped many an app in the first month.

The initial designs are awesome, and with one-shot.

My favourite way of working with Greta, is to get the project something like, then download to Windsurf and prompt that to get the product working as I see fit.

Don't get me wrong, you can get a working app with Greta, but I like to have control even more so and it works great with Windsurf.

You can see my latest collaboration of Greta and Windsurf here. Please share the link:

Goo but not perfect

I cloned a HackerNews-style site within 10 hours by using Greta.

It's not bad. I spent around 700 credits to create the site.

It's easy to use with minimum setup on Supabase and Netlify.

I give it 4 tacos, as sometimes the AI will say it has finished the bug fix, but the bugs are still here. It's normal for most AI.

I think the credit counting is fair enough. One conversation 10 credit. (If the credits are infinity, it can't sustain in the long run.

Looking forward to Greta's improvement.

I may cancel Lovable.

If you're into vibe coding, buy this deal before its gone! I have subscriptions for Lovable, Cursor, Bolt and tested Greta and based on first try - bought tier 2. I had a project today and put the same prompt into Lovable and Greta. The Greta version is now live and the Lovable version is not going to be touched again - the quality different was amazing. Greta is a brilliant tool. Please keep up the excellent work!!

❌ Greta ≠ Lovable — Let’s Not Confuse the People

If you're comparing Greta to Lovable, here’s why that’s misleading for non-techies like me:

🔍 1. Hosting? Not Included

Greta gives you a preview link, not real hosting.

You’ll need to set up a Netlify account to go live.

That’s extra steps, extra accounts, extra confusion.

🌐 2. Custom Domains = Techie Detour

Greta requires you to manually connect DNS via Netlify.

That’s not beginner-friendly — that’s “watch three tutorials” territory.

Lovable? One-click domain setup, no drama.

🛠️ 3. No Visual Builder

Greta uses prompt → generate → edit manually.

Lovable lets you drag, drop, and publish like Canva for websites.

🤷🏽‍♂️ 4. For Non-Techies? Not Quite Yet

Greta’s founder admits: custom domain setup needs some steps.

Guides help, but it’s still not plug-and-play.

Lovable actually delivers on the “non-techie” promise today.
I would love the Founder to give an E.T.A. for Greta to truly be as Lovable!

Totally understandable — really appreciate the thoughtful review. Honestly, I love that everyone (including AppSumo) is already comparing us to giants like Lovable while we’re still early in the process!

PS: I never asked AppSumo to write “Lovable alternative” — I know we still have some catching up to do there 😂

That said, our real goal with Greta is making sure people can not just build apps,...

A product with promise!

First let me emphasize as the title suggests, that Greta has a lot of promise and is quite innovative! If you are designing a simple app, it will handle the task quite readily and provide a mockup/demo for you to see. If you have a specific code/framework that you prefer, be sure to specify that upfront as it will likely make the choice for you and steer you towards deployment solutions they have chosen. Not a bad thing, just be ready. Unfortunately I hit several walls in development as it would no longer take input on a project even though I had plenty of credits. I also wasted a lot of credits during the process asking for revisions over and over on the same issue. Many times it will create a beautiful looking demo, but none of the links or navigation would work as they should...so more of a mock up, even though I would ask it to make the app production ready for deployment. I have spent a lot of time with AI and am well versed in prompts, and I also have been developing for almost 20 years, so I know what and how to ask it to build. Finally, another reason I'm only giving 3 tacos, Support has not responded to any of my messages regarding the issues above. I am hopeful they will continue to improve Greta, and then I can begin to use again!

Thank you for sharing such a thoughtful and honest review—it means a lot. Really appreciate that you see the promise and the idea behind Greta. 🙌

You’re absolutely right: Greta is best at simpler apps today, but we are actively working on larger project support and making sure things like navigation, links, and production-readiness improve every week. The 50–60 file limit and input stopping...
