At the moment, if you have joined the meeting, you will be able to see the number and the other participants who are currently in the meeting room in the form of a list in the 'Participants' section of the meeting.
If you choose to schedule the meeting and invite other participants through email, the invited participants are currently shown as a list for all invited to see when...
Currently I am not an active user of Kyzon. I just want to evaluate if it is the right fit for me. I didn't even know that a whole participant list is sent through email, which for me as a European user is a no-go. The number of participants (and their identity) should be hidden because I do not want to expose the number of students in the running webinar. This information should not be public.
Q: Can you add pCloud?
It is important for us from EU to work with pCloud for GDPR compliance.
That explains the requests we have gotten for a pCloud integration! Because we have never worked with pCloud, at this stage we must look into it before we can definitively give a response as to whether we could/will add pCloud integration in the future.
Let us look into it and get back to you with a more concrete answer as to a pCloud integration :)
Thank you for your clear answer! I haven't tested Kyzon yet (bought it yesterday - Tier 3), but it looks promising for sure, at last for my actual needs. But pCloud could be a game changer for me (sharing files with in Europe). Hope the pCloud option will be available for Tier 3 customers, like OneDrive ;) All the best
We'd love to hear your thoughts and feedback as you spend some more time with our platforms.
We're not interested in gatekeeping features unnecessarily so if we do integrate pCloud into KYZON Space, it will definitely be available for Tier 3 customers :)
All the best to you too!
Q: Account separation
If I go for Tier 3, can I keep users separated? My case is that I would like to leverage this for my own personal meetings linked to my personal Gmail account, but I also have another professional email for consulting. Is this setup possible or are there things that would conflict with my setup?
From our understanding of your use case, there shouldn't be too much conflict with your setup. With a Tier 3, you would be able to invite/add up to 5 other users to your team space not including the user you signed up with.
Each user has access to their own separate meetings schedules with recordings, notes and snapshots saved for that specific user's account.
Great to hear StefanoX. We look forward to supporting your setups and your work flow in general :)
Q: DPA and API
Hi, First of all, congratulations on the great product - we have been testing it over the last few days and are very happy with the quality and functions. But now, of course, comes the big "but" :))
gdpr: so that we can use this with customers, we have to deal with gdpr. gdpr-compliant is always a nice seal, but nothing more, and you had written that some cookie stuff is missing. Where we need to go is to a DPA (data processing agreement) - simple question: do you have one or not?
gdrp addendum: in this context: if you are currently starting a recording, you as a participant will not be aware of it ... Some form of sign would be good.
Recording: are there any plans for an API that allows the file to be passed to a service for transcripts, summaries etc.? For example, we have transcript.lol (was on appsumo for a long time).
Appreciate the kind words and glad to hear you've had a great experience with us so far!
Great questions about GDPR and it's nice to hear you're more interested about the addendum than simply a seal.
To answer your question, yes we have a DPA with AWS. In our relationship with AWS, we are the data controllers while AWS is classified as the data processor. We're currently entered...
Thank you for the very transparent explanation. By DPA I actually meant do you have a template for an agreement between us (as users) and you (as processors)? gdpr actually requires an agreement directly between us.
Sorry for the delay. We are currently reviewing our DPA to make sure it reflects our current practices and the aspects that comply with the GDPR. We will need a couple of days to finalise it before it will be available as an Addendum to our T&Cs. I will provide an update when it is ready. Appreciate your patience in the meantime :)
We are waiting, no stress, the first meetings with customers are planned for mid-May, where we want to test it
Q: Tutors and Teacher use case?
Can KYZON Space be used for online tutoring for subjects like math? I went to your website and review the education page. I'm not sure if it would with classes like math, chemistry, and physics because we would have to show the steps to get to the right answers. -Can 2 screens from the tutor can be shared at the same time? -Can we share screen of input devices like a laptop pad (writing pad)?
Great question. At the moment, our platforms are not ideal for subjects where annotations or drawings are heavily required as we don't have the best support for drawing or writing capabilities. In the case of math, chemistry or physics which require multiple working out steps to be shown before getting to the right answer, you would need to type out each step in the shared live...
Q: Hide number of participants?
Is the number of participants exposed to anyone? I would prefer to hide the number to regular participants.
