A: Hi, thanks for the question! Compared to ThirstyAffiliates, LinkCentral offers several unique advantages beyond pricing, including: * Advanced dynamic redirects (based on device, date, time, parameters, user role, and more) * Deeper analytics * Webhooks for automation with 3rd party tools and custom workflows * UTM templates to streamline campaign tagging * Link notes for better link...
Hi.. "By default, LinkCentral uses /go as the URL prefix. This means your short links will look like: https://yoursite.com/go/your-custom-slug" - Taken from your documentation
1. Is there any possibility to serve the links without "/go"? E.g. https://yoursite/your-custom-slug
2. If I have hundreds of links to migrate from bit.ly, is there an API to create a new link that we can use?
1. By default, LinkCentral uses custom slugs with a predefined prefix, but you can disable this on a per-link basis! 2. The best way to migrate from Bit.ly is by using the Import Tool. Just upload a CSV file with your links and they’ll be imported in bulk. Feel free to contact us through our website’s Contact page if you need any assistance....
I really like your concept. However, I am curious about who you are. Your website does not provide any information about the company, address, or the team behind it. There is no clear privacy policy, no option to opt out of consent, and the terms and conditions are not clearly stated. You mention that this is a blog about WordPress topics with guest posts containing affiliate links, but you don’t disclose that you are also a plugin developer selling plugins.
Would you consider being more transparent about these details? I prefer not to purchase from an anonymous developer or company.
A: Hey Mrio, thanks so much for your thoughtful and very valid questions. I appreciate you taking the time to share them :) My name is Jordy, and I'm a freelance WordPress developer based in the Netherlands. I have over 10 years experience in the WordPress ecosystem as a web developer for small- and medium sized businesses. The Design for WP site originally started as a blog with contributions...
Mrio, to ease your concern, I purchased the Plan 2 and have since communicted with Jordy on a few occassions. He is timely with his responses and listens to the users. I requested a few features and he reached out to me to get more clarification and has since added them to the roadmap. That is to say, I fully trust Jordy and in fact, I'm about to upgrade my license. Hope this helps...
Thanks both for your comments! In the meantime, I’ve updated the corporate website. The Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions now include all required information. I’ve also updated the business details on the contact page, including our company name, Corporate ID/Chamber of Commerce number, phone number, and email address. Hope this provides the transparency you were looking for!
Q: Different WordPress instance?
I’m interested in your URL Shortener plugin and have a specific question about its usage: Is it possible to install and use the plugin on a different WordPress instance while utilizing the same domain for shortening links? Specifically, would I be able to access the same features (e.g., link tracking, analytics, UTM parameters, etc.) as I would when the plugin is installed on the primary WordPress site hosting the domain?
A: Hi! Thanks so much for your interest in LinkCentral.
If I understand your question correctly, you’re asking whether it’s possible to install the plugin on one WordPress site while using a different domain to serve the short links (for example, managing links from domain2.com but using domain1.com as the shortener domain).
At the moment, this isn’t possible. LinkCentral needs to be installed...
Can you share your roadmap and tell us more about your company and the track record? I could not find anything about your location, you past record, etc..
A: Thanks for your message! Yes, we’ve made our public roadmap available here: https://linkcentral.sleekplan.app/. It’s open to everyone, and we actively prioritize new features based on popular demand and user feedback.
LinkCentral launched in September 2024 as an MVP, and we’ve steadily improved it with frequent updates, leading up to our current AppSumo release. We're Netherlands-based, and...
Thanks for the response. I would suggest adding the roadmap link to your website as I could not find it. I may add a few feature requests to the roadmap, as I do not see much on it.
I bought the product last night (plan 2) and will keep it to support the company, If you share more details about your future plans along with associated timelines, I may upgrade to Plan 3.
Hi! As promised, here’s a quick update. The roadmap page is now live (https://designforwp.com/docs/linkcentral/roadmap/). The Ideas Upvote board is still there too, and we’re updating the AppSumo page. Hope this helps! And if you have a moment, leaving a short review would mean a lot to me. It really helps us grow and improve. Thank you for your support!
