Is it possible to trigger the simple commenter widget, from say a chatbot? Eg - a user opens chatbot and asks to leave feedback on a bug etc, it launches commenter, but then closes it after a comment has been made or user quits it? It would be a cool feature if possible.
Is this designed to only allow open comments? For example, could I have preset questions like overall satisfaction with this web page (1-5 star rating) or ask if they were able to accomplish what they intended to do here? With the first survey question example, could I run a report that would show me the average score across all of my pages? I could do some of this manually if the feedback is tied or storing the URL it came from. Overall, I may be looking for something quite different to what this tool was designed to do. Thank you.
Hi! Seems to be a game changer! A few questions: - while enabling domain settings, we see Simple Commenter allowed, is it with the new URL from back-office or on the website directly? Meaning, which link is the good one to give to a client? - clients: may comment with ou without any account (anonymous too, right?) - how do you suggest to allow comment on the entire website? sometimes, I can't navigate to comment other pages but after refreshing, it's ok (and the URL is so the official one by the way). - last question: seems to work fine on Chrome for a better experience, do you recommend anything else?
A: 1. it's best to add client, and then for each client there's a unique link to each client on the main domain page. this is the best to give to clients. it automatically associates them and they will get notified when their comments get resolved, or get new replies. 2. yep commenting without an account is totally possible. just leave the settings as is. But token-access requires a login for...
Like many web devs i use a password manager Keep 100's of tabs open and often told im a bot... but - Bot Detected and wont let me log in - or give me any other option to bypass - that is really crap especially in time sensitive situations like in the middle of a client meeting and trying to review their comments - Please implement a work around for your bot detection so I can log in to my new Simple commenter account!!! ASAP!!!!

Jul 18, 2025A: Hi, I think you're looking for a general user feedback tool. Simple Commenter is mainly meant for client feedback.

Q: Can it also be used on .jpg and .pdf files?
I love that it works for live websites! Can it also work on static images like .jpg and .pdf so clients can comment on mockups?

Q: Simple questions
Hi! Seems to be a game changer!
A few questions:

Thx a lot !
