Q: How to download and activate Security Ninja for MainWP (Tier 4 purchased) ?
I acquired Tier 4 of WP Security Ninja, which includes WP Security Ninja for MainWP. How to download and activate WP Security Ninja for MainWP? When I want to download this plugin through my dashboard, I am asked to buy a licence. (?)
A: Hello, thank you for your purchase, and we appreciate your patience!
We're currently processing the MainWP Addon licenses manually. I've just sent out 32 new licenses in the latest batch, so please check your email to see if you have received it.
If you haven't received the email yet, please reach out to us directly at support@wpsecurityninja.com, and we will make sure you get your license as soon as possible.
Thank you for being a customer, sorry for the confusion and delay :)
A: Great suggestion, thank you! We've created a wish list item for ModularDS integration on our roadmap, and we'd love for you to vote for it! You can track its progress and contribute your thoughts here: https://securityninja.productlift.dev/p/integrate-with-modulards-NKpUrh
Thanks again for reaching out, and feel free to suggest any other features you'd like to see!
Thanks. By integration with MainWP (and hopefully ModulaDS), what exactly does that mean? We would be able to see the security test results from within ModularDS? What would be great is if I could automatically get those security results to be put in my client ModularDS reports.
Thanks for following up! At this stage, we don't have fixed plans for the specifics of ModularDS integration, but we're definitely open to suggestions. Ideally, we'd like to understand what would benefit you the most with the integration.
If you'd like to see security test results from WP Security Ninja in your ModularDS reports, feel free to add that suggestion to the roadmap :-)
Q: Any plans to allow scheduling of malware scanner?
Would it be possible to schedule an automatic malware scan like once a week?
Thank you for the great suggestion! Yes, we’re currently working on adding the ability to schedule automatic malware scans, as it’s been a popular request from our users. You can follow the progress of this feature and vote for it here: https://securityninja.productlift.dev/p/automate-malware-scanner-nUEXzj
Hi Lars, a few new questions. I use WP Login Lockdown Pro (https://wploginlockdown.com/) which is another WordPress security tool offered here on AppSumo:
https://appsumo.com/products/wp-login-lockdown/
1. Is WP Security Ninja compatible with this plugin? 2. Can they be used together to further harden security? 3. If so, how would you recommend setting them up to avoid redundancy between any overlapping features?
Yes, WP Security Ninja is compatible with WP Login Lockdown Pro.
Yes, you can use both plugins together to further enhance security.
As for setup, we don’t have specific recommendations for combining them, but we suggest ensuring that overlapping features, like login protection, aren’t enabled in both plugins to avoid redundancy.
Feel free to reach out if you need any further clarification!
Does this plugin scan for malicious code form within all the folders and files? For example can it detect if there have been malicious files, or code within existing files, placed within the wp-includes folder? In 15 years I've had that happen about 10-20 times and it's almost the only type of hacking that I've encountered.
A: Yes, WP Security Ninja scans all core WordPress files and folders, including wp-includes and wp-admin. Our core scanner checks the official WordPress repository for a list of files and their expected file stamps based on the WordPress version and locale you are using. Any variation in these files, such as changes in content or the addition of unknown files, will be detected and flagged for review.
If any malicious code is placed in these critical folders, it will be identified. Let us know if you have any further questions!

Thanks, so this means if a file was added to one of those folders, or the core, that is not supposed to be there it will flag it?
